You’d think you could manage the occasional bout of acid indigestion, right? You can, but when it gets to be a regular occurrence, time to speak to the doctor, as you may have acid reflux. Over production of stomach acid that washes back up your esophagus is not a lot of fun and can also be dangerous if left.

I’ve read lots of things on the Internet that say suppressing acid produces more acid and wrecks your calcium levels. Frankly, there are so many darn things on the Internet that it’s just better to talk to your doctor and then do some reading. Then, make up your own mind. If you suffer from problems with stomach acid, I tell you the relief you get from those proton pump inhibitors is GLORIOUS!
