Liposuction Surgery:

Liposuction surgery is one of the two most common procedures performed by plastic surgeons. Most often this surgery is performed without experiencing any major problem. Liposuction surgery costs depend on many different factors. These factors include: the number of areas treated, the amount of fat to be removed from the areas, and the type of area treated (body site). Liposuction surgery is always performed under anesthetic, usually general anesthetic, but occasionally local or regional is used if only a small localized area is being treated. A Conventional Liposuction treatment or a variation of it such as Tumescent Liposuction will usually take 1-2 hours per area treated, but longer procedures such as Large Volume Liposuction can take much longer, and may even need to be carried out in several procedures.

Liposuction surgery can help you achieve the silhouette you have always wanted. It can give you a sleeker, smoother body and remove those areas of fat that resist diet and exercise. Liposuction surgery results in a slimmer, more contoured body appearance. Although patients experience some downtime, it is kept to a minimum because of the advanced techniques utilized at our practice. Pubic liposuction surgery has now become the most commonly performed operation in Plastic Surgery. This procedure is used to improve your figure in either one specific area, or in several areas.

Liposuction Cost:

Liposuction costs are higher because of the simplest reason: there are many people who want to make the operation. The prices are getting higher and higher because of the large stream of obese people, wanting to reduce the weight of many areas of their bodies. Liposuction Cost have remained steady at about $2,700 in the last couple of years. There is a difference in costs of ultrasound assisted liposuction and suction assisted liposuction. Liposuction cost includes both surgical and non-surgical fees. Non-surgical fees will include pre-op lab tests, surgical supplies, use of the operating room as well as post-op garments and bandages.

Liposuction costs will fluctuate widely depending on the type of liposuction procedure to be performed and the area of the body to be treated. Liposuction cost for a single procedure on one area can cost as little as $800, but this cost can reach many thousands of dollars where more extensive liposuction is required. Liposuction cost can vary depending on the extent of the surgery. Details of your procedure, including financial obligations, should be thoroughly discussed prior to any cosmetic surgery. Liposuction costs will range from plastic surgeon to plastic surgeon and also from state to state. Additionally, as there are numerous liposuction procedures, liposuction prices will vary from procedure to procedure.

Pubic Liposuction:

Women who lost a lot of weight frequently request pubic liposuction surgery and reduction of the labia majora. Another procedure, vaginal tightening, involves stitching the muscles of the vaginal wall and creating a smaller circumference. Women are expected to be weak and dependent on their husbands, being stay at home moms or homemakers while their husbands are free to chase their dreams. Women were often ‘tightened’ after childbirth after being given episiotomies, and surgery was also offered to women who either suffer incontinence after childbirth, or to those with serious abnormalities. Vaginal reconstruction has now taken on a new light thanks to plastic surgeons like Dr.

Skin that is not elastic may cause dents and sagging even after a liposuction is performed. Skin grafts were used even in 800 B.C for reconstructive surgery. Perhaps the origins of plastic surgery lie in the fact that punishment meted out by kings and masters in the old days was by cutting off an ear or nose or fingers or toes as punishment and these had to be reconstructed for proper use by the victims.

For many people, the term Liposuction brings about mental images of a severely over-weight or obese person and that is not exactly accurate. Although liposuction is not intended as a weight-loss technique or solution, it can help to “sculpt” your body into a slimmer profile. The number of both men and women who have had these surgeries done may surprise you, as it is performed often enough to be considered the most common cosmetic procedure for both sexes.

Should you consider Bariatric Surgery?

This popular procedure does not necessarily have to be performed at a hospital or surgery center, as it can also be done at the doctor’s office. Naturally there are pros and cons related to both locations. Normally, only a small volume procedure will be performed as an out patient basis due to the cost. If a larger volume of fat needs to be removed or if this is being done in conjunction with other procedures, then your doctor will speak with you about the options available to you and together you will make an informed decision.

Plastic surgeons or even dermatologists perform many of these liposuction procedures. Keep in mind that any licensed physician may perform the surgery, as no standardized training is required. As a result of this there will be differences in experience and training. You may want to consider asking the physician you have chosen how many times he or she has performed this type of surgery and whether or not they have had any specialized training in this field. Just because it is elective surgery does not mean that it is any less serious than any other type of invasive surgery.

The liposuction tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is likely the most often performed procedure. Most people who are considering having this done are usually somewhat overweight or have excess skin redundancy that is a result of a large weight loss or pregnancy. In the case of pregnancy, experts advise waiting until you will no longer be having any more children, as the muscles that are tightened during liposuction can separate again during another pregnancy. It is further noted that the tightened muscles can restrict the growth of the fetus.

As with many other procedures, liposuction is not completely pain or discomfort free. Experiencing pain after surgery is common. There is also a possibility of drainage from the incisions after liposuction, but these are normal, and if necessary your doctor may insert a drainage tube to avoid the build-up of fluid. By following your doctor’s advice you will have a better chance of getting through it with as little discomfort as possible. Remember to ask your doctor any questions you may have prior to the procedure so that everything is understood. And try not to be too impatient while waiting to see the results, as liposuction recovery means different things to different people.

Fat is a natural constituent of the human physique. When the human ingests more food than the body needs to produce energy, fat is stashed away for later use. This occurrence is quite natural in that the body many, many years ago was forced to eat while the food was at hand and starve when the food was not. In modern-day society, however, overeating is resulting in the rise of obesity levels. Smart Lipo or Laser Lipolysis is the newest high tech option created to answer the need for speedy, easy and pain-free fat reduction.

What is Smart Lipo?

SmartLipo Laser Lipolysis is a unparalleled laser-guided fat-removal undertaking. Due to the laser-driven undertaking, the fat elimination is more of a sculpting process than traditional liposuction. The recovery time is way less than that of mainstream liposuction and thereby patients are usually able to return to their previous activities within a few days.

The procedure is begun with a small 1mm incision into which a probe is placed. The probe encloses the laser light that burns away the fat and results in the area being slimmer and more sculpted. After the procedure is done, collagen fibers are formed and the skin tautens naturally. Accordingly, the extra hanging skin common with the more traditional form of liposuction is not a problem with Smart Lipo. Due to the little incision, there are no sutures and no discomfort.
