If you’ve been to the local grocery store or drug store and perused the section of weight loss products, you’ve undoubtedly seen bottles of green tea fat burners. You’ve probably heard that green tea can help you lose weight but you didn’t know they made them in pill form. What else is in them that they had to put the green tea in little pills? Why can’t you just drink the green tea to lose weight? Is there something else in the green tea fat burners, besides green tea, that helps you lose weight?

Just like with all supplements, you should do your research before you shell out your good, hard earned money on the latest weight loss supplement. Some of them make false promises and it’s unfortunate that many people spend all their money on these promises only to find that they lose little, if any, weight at all.

Ask Your Doctor

If you take a green tea fat burner to your doctor, it’s likely your doctor will smile and shake his or her head. Your doctor will tell you to eat correctly, do some exercise and drink green tea if you want to lose weight. Don’t waste your money on the latest green tea fat burner. The green tea fat burner likely just contains green tea and some extra caffeine to give you energy. These can be great if you don’t have time to prepare or make tea, but your doctor is correct. You must do everything else in your power if you hope for any supplement, not just green tea fat burners, to work.

Eating Correctly

There are no miracle weight loss pills, not even green tea fat burners. To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you’re taking in. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables, eating whole wheat or whole grain carbohydrates, eating lean protein sources and drinking lots of water will help you stay on track to lose weight. If you do the above and take green tea fat burners, it’s likely you’ll lose weight. But it’s not the fat burners that are doing it, it’s your healthy eating habits.

You Must Exercise

Green tea plantWhether you’re taking green tea fat burners, or any other fat burners, you need to get some exercise if you hope to lose weight. Your body must burn those calories. Take a walk or a run first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for thirty or forty five minutes three to five times per week and watch that weight come off; as long as you’re eating as described above. If you do that, the weight will come off and you may be able to increase your results with a green tea fat burner.

The green tea fat burner by itself, however, will do little but cause you to uselessly spend your money on a product that you hope will do all the work for you.

Green teaThere certainly is a lot of green tea about nowadays. There are green tea bags, green iced tea, green tea cakes, green tea health supplements and a lot of words ending in exclamation points about the benefits of green tea.  Green tea is not the fountain of youth, but it is a healthy and refreshing beverage alternative.  It might taste peculiar at first, but you soon get used to the taste.

Low In Caffeine

This is one of the major health benefits of green tea. Unless you are specifically buying decaffeinated green tea bags or iced tea, green tea does contain very small amounts of caffeine.  However, it contains less than half of a cup of black tea does. Caffeine is becoming more and more of a health problem in modern times.  Back even in the 1970’s, it was not thought to be addictive or to alter moods. Now, however, caffeine is addictive (only in that you get withdrawal cravings or even a migraine if you don’t have it regularly) and disturbs our sleep patterns.

The health benefits of green tea means you can have a great beverage, but not have to load up on so much caffeine to get through the day to the point where you are still zooming all night. A 2007 medical study from England suggested that by getting less than seven hours of sleep out of 24, we are more of a chance of lower body immunity and thus dying earlier than we have to.

Keeps The Blood Flowing

Studies suggest that another of the major health benefits of green tea is that it helps keep your blood flowing at just the right rate – not too fast and not too slow. It has also been shown to help reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol and for overall circulatory system health.  Arthritis can also greatly affect the circulatory system, leaving limbs numb or tingly. It has been suggested that another of the health benefits of green tea is that it helps lower the severity of arthritis by keeping your blood moving.

Because of this affect, it not recommended that anyone on blood thinners drink a lot of green tea. This might make your blood too thin and putting you in danger of loosing too much blood with just a minor injury.

Rich In Antioxidants

One of the long term benefits of drinking green tea is that you are taking in a great source of antioxidants. These are little chemicals that help the body recognize and fight cancer. So far, scientists don’t exactly know how antioxidants help the body only that they definitely do.

Fat Loss Secret

When you hear the phrase “natural weight loss,” what thoughts float around your head? – Unprocessed foods? Herbal remedies? Uncooked foods? The answer to natural weight loss is that all three of these thoughts along with a few others are factors in losing weight without any type of physical crutch.

Unprocessed Foods

When it comes to natural weight loss, you need to really examine what foods you put in your mouth every day. If you keep a food journal every day, chances are that you will see a trend towards processed, manufactured foods. It is these foods in particular that contribute greatly to weight gain and will likely have additives, preservatives and a variety of dyes. These things are definitely a contributor to natural weight loss so you must toss them off your diet.

When it comes to devising a diet plan, stick with natural foods that do not have to run through a manufacturing plant to be prepared. Sure, your milk, natural juices and breads obviously have to be pasteurized or baked in a manufacturing plant but there are no chemicals that really alter the integrity of them. It is the chips, Twinkies, powdered mac and cheese and more that you have to worry about when it comes to a natural weight loss plan.

Uncooked Foods

Some people view that to achieve a natural weight loss victory, you must stick with uncooked foods – how you would find them in nature. The cooking process of vegetables, meats and fruits do tend to break down some enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Eating vegetables raw along with fruits can and will bring you great health benefits with more of a vitamin and mineral boost than canning, freezing or even pickling would provide.

Unfortunately, you really cannot eat meat raw due to the variety of different illnesses that you could contract like salmonella poisoning from uncooked chicken. Therefore, your natural weight loss plan should at least include the leanest of meats as well as seafood.

Herbal Remedies

Natural weight loss brings certain connotations of herbals remedies as well as the sticks and twigs mentality. While there are some effective herbs you can take in a tea or supplement form, they should not be depended on solely for losing weight. However, if you feel that a little boost is necessary in meeting your weight loss goals there are a few herbal based remedies that could help decrease your appetite or reduce absorption of fat like chitosan, hoodia or even chromium. If you see ephedra linked with any natural weight loss herbal remedy, do not take it as it has disastrous side effects.

Of course, the most important part of any natural weight loss plan is your consumption of water each day.  Water not only flushes your body of toxins that build up but it can also help you eat less as well. A glass of water before each meal and when you “think” you are hungry can make a big impact on your eating habits. No matter what else you incorporate into a natural weight loss plan (like exercise), it should always begin and end with water.
